App Store updated: Creative Assets, unified Asset Library, and multi-language previews

Apple announced new App Store product page features at WWDC 2026: rich images and videos in headers, a centralized Asset Library, and previews across devices, languages, and display modes.

More expressive product pages

Until now, visual customization of an App Store product page was limited to screenshots and short video clips with rigid formats. With Creative Assets announced at WWDC 2026, developers can now upload high-quality images and videos appearing in product page headers and search results. The stated goal is to allow visual communication closer to a website, without leaving the curated App Store environment. MacSources and TechRepublic report the change among keynote store updates.

Managing these materials happens through a redesigned Asset Library in App Store Connect, centralizing images, videos, and screenshots in a single access point — simplifying maintenance for apps available in many languages and markets. A related feature allows previewing the product page by combining device, language, and color mode (light/dark) before publishing: a practical check that reduces the risk of visual artifacts or cut-off text that only surface after launch.

Discovery and game nominations

Alongside the visual changes, Apple also updated App Store discovery mechanisms. Personalized Collections group apps by user interests, while App Notes attach a brief explanation of why a specific app is recommended. On the gaming side, Apple introduced a nomination system allowing developers to propose featured in-app offers, broadening visibility channels beyond editorial categories.
