visionOS 27: Redesigned Control Center and new curvature windows

Apple Vision Pro gets a fully redesigned Control Center and new curvature windows in visionOS 27, alongside Siri AI integration.

Beyond Siri: what's actually new in visionOS 27

The WWDC 2026 keynote dedicated limited time to visionOS 27, but the announced changes go beyond the Siri AI update. Tom's Guide and TechRadar report that the headset's Control Center receives a full redesign, and that Apple introduces a new window format called "curvature windows": surfaces with curved edges that better adapt to the three-dimensional spatial perception of the surrounding environment.

This new window type represents an evolution of the spatial interface Apple introduced with Liquid Glass in visionOS 26: rather than flat panels, apps can now present themselves with edges that follow the geometry of the space perceived by the user. No technical details were provided on how developers will need to adopt this format, but WWDC sessions throughout the week will provide guidelines.

The redesigned Control Center addresses recurring criticism about quick access to the headset's functions, an area where the operating system had shown rigidity since launch. It remains unclear whether the redesign also brings new first-level controls or simply reorganizes existing ones.
