From stage to beta
Two days after the keynote, MacRumors released a hands-on video dedicated to Siri AI on iOS 27 and macOS Golden Gate, available to registered developers since announcement day. The update, per the outlet, is limited to developers right now but offers plenty to explore ahead of the fall public release.
The new Siri integrates multi-turn conversations with on-screen context understanding, responds with rich visual text cards, and can be triggered by swiping down from the middle of the screen on iPhone — or, on Mac, via a dedicated shortcut. On macOS Golden Gate, Siri AI also integrates into Spotlight and Visual Intelligence for on-screen content analysis.
Beta 1 does not yet include all announced features: advanced Siri AI capabilities require recent hardware (iPhone 15 Pro or M1 for Mac), and some features — such as expressive voices and enhanced dictation — will be exclusive to iPhone 17 Pro and Air, as confirmed by Craig Federighi.
