Among the 250+ changes catalogued for iOS 27, 9to5Mac highlights a return many users had been waiting for: the virtual Apple TV remote can once again be added to the iPhone Home Screen, not just the Control Center panel.
The feature had been progressively sidelined in previous iOS versions, requiring an extra swipe into Control Center every time users wanted to control their TV. With iOS 27, the remote widget returns as a first-class icon that can be placed freely on the Home Screen.
