Apple is readying genai.apple.com: a dedicated subdomain for generative AI

MacRumors spotted Apple readying the genai.apple.com subdomain — not yet live, but signaling a separate communications strategy for its generative AI products.

An address that says a lot

On the sidelines of WWDC 2026, MacRumors noted that Apple is readying the genai.apple.com subdomain. The page is not yet publicly live, but its existence — spotted by contributor Aaron Perris — indicates Apple is building a dedicated destination for its generative AI products.

The domain is significant for several reasons. Apple has always kept its AI feature marketing fragmented (Apple Intelligence, Siri AI, Image Playground, Genmoji) without a unified access point comparable to what OpenAI offers with chatgpt.com or Google with gemini.google.com. A genai subdomain suggests this fragmentation may end, at least on the web front.

Positioning and competition

The move fits a WWDC where Apple launched Siri AI as an integrated alternative to competing chatbots. A dedicated URL simplifies communication toward non-technical users, journalists, and developers who want a single reference point for Apple's generative AI vision.
