Fitness+ adds dedicated workouts for perimenopause and menopause

Apple expands Fitness+ with workout categories specifically designed for perimenopause and menopause, complementing the clinical tracking already announced for Health. The move confirms a systematic approach to women's health.

Beyond tracking

At WWDC 2026, Apple announced new perimenopause and menopause monitoring features for Health.app. But the 263-feature slide shown during the keynote reveals an additional dimension: Fitness+ receives dedicated workouts for these life stages. The two announcements are distinct and complementary — one covers physiological data tracking, the other delivers workout content designed around the changes these phases bring, such as hormonal shifts affecting endurance, recovery, and thermoregulation.

A coherent approach

Apple has progressively built out women's health coverage spanning the full lifecycle. Adding perimenopause and menopause-specific workouts to Fitness+ follows the same logic behind previously introduced pregnancy workouts: acknowledging that physical needs change and that a generalist service falls short. As noted by iClarified in its WWDC slide analysis, this is a concrete catalogue expansion, not a simple content rebrand.
